A trip to Finland is a unique mix of adventures out in the wild, exploration of latest trends in STEM & history of its involvement in World War II. Students will visit Heureka Science Center to witness some cutting edge research currently going on. A day will be spent studying the landmarks in the town that got destroyed in World War II, Rovaniemi. Also, the students will enjoy a visit to the Lapland Christmas Village & meet Santa & his Elves and witness the Arctic Circle crossing ceremony.
The other half of the trip is dedicated to all adventurous experiences. The students get to visit a Reindeer Farm, learn about Reindeer breeding and get to have a unique opportunity to pass a test and obtain a special “Reindeer Sleigh Driving License”. The students ride with the Huskies, go snowshoeing, and skiing through snowy landscapes. At night, experience and witness Northern Lights. Students also learn Survival skills required for extreme weather conditions like, fire making, ice fishing, and making guinzees.
